SmartMeet

SmartMeet is Sonar’s AI layer for calls. Turn it on during a call and it works in the background — transcribing what’s said, translating in real time, and producing a summary you can review afterwards.

What SmartMeet does

Live transcription

Turns speech into text as the call happens.

Real-time translation

Translates speech and shows live closed captions across languages.

Summaries & tasks

Produces a summary and action items from the conversation.

Sentiment

Reads the tone of the conversation.

Turning SmartMeet on

SmartMeet is enabled for the whole workspace on the AI Assist tab of Application Setup, then turned on per call.

  1. An admin enables Smart-Meet on Application Setup → AI Assist.

  2. In a call, use the SmartMeet control in the toolbar to turn it on for that call. Turn on closed captions to see live translated captions.

Where SmartMeet output appears

After a call, its transcript and details are available on the call’s detail page — open a call from the Statistics call list and use the Transcript and Notes tabs.
